Mobile Fidelity Sound Lab has been the undisputed pioneer and leader in audiophile recordings since the company's inception in 1977. Perhaps Mofi were going for maximum detail, definition and separation, but it comes at the expense of musicality and warmth despite the low bass being very present and well resolved. I also noticed the forward brightness, makes the upper bass/low midrange region sound pinched. I’m not sure what KW was thinking. Maybe an analytical and more modern sounding remaster?
