About this deal

And right next to it theres a 2 TRACK OUTPUT I connected a RCA red/white to headphones into this and listened on the headphones and the channels are inverted I mean when I pan to R the sound is on the left side of my headphones. rather than sending the "FX" to its output take the output of that pot and (maybe using a Dsub on the back) use that as a direct out?

If you have a digital, in the box recording set-up, this is an excellent analog choice to add some warmth to digital tracks without adding trashy noise. With the added capability to be powered by batteries, you can manage all your audio signals easily with the Behringer Xenyx 1002B mixer.Armed with these outstanding mic preamps, the XENYX 1002B provides such transparent, crystal-clear performance you just might think someone upgraded your mics while you weren’t looking. I didn't recognize the opamps in use, but after listening to it, was quite surprised by its sound quality.

So I can use channels 1 and 2 on the Europort mixer as if they were placed in the center of the stereo field and place the channels in the Xenyx 1002B to the left and right of center--making a combination of the two the perfect portable sound rig for solo performers and small acoustic ensembles in small venues. I’ve got it loaded with three 9V batteries (600 mAh Lithium-ion rechargeable) and can get 9 hours of use from a full charge - that should be plenty for most outdoor gigs, weddings, etc. This mixer can run on battery power using 9v batteries for remote operation but I haven't used this feature.Premium ultra-low noise analog mixer with optional battery operation,2 state-of-the-art XENYX Mic Preamps comparable to stand-alone boutique preamps,Neo-classic ''British'' 3-band EQs for warm and musical sound. With these Behringer mixers, they have twin sockets on the channels, which is a bit unusual (but handy). I have come to the same conclusion as you, the phantom must be a step up device, on battery it uses three 9v PP3 batteries, two run the mixer and one for the Phantom, and I agree keeping the voltage low-ish would help save battery power, but that’s no god if it can’t drive the mics, it is very rare I’d need battery power, but it does happen, my daughter got her first degree in music and I love to hear her, her second in the medical world as music rarely pays the bills, but a few weeks back she came across a piano in the middle of a field of sun flowers and of course could not leave it, the piano was in a terrible state as it had rained all night!

The British consoles of the 1960s and '70s changed the sound of rock and roll - without them the British Invasion might not have happened. A gazillion uses for this type of mixer, especially with the quality channel faders and EQ,stereo channel in,etc. The channel EQ on our XENYX mixers is based on that very same circuitry, allowing you to imbue signals with incredible warmth and detailed musical character. They are for representative purposes only and often show other items to indicate how the product can be used, accessories that are available or other models in the same range. This mixer has a total of 10 inputs with 2x mono mic channels and 4 stereo input channels, all mixing down via 2 mix buses.
