Nighthaunt heroes

Tactics: This army is all about lowering your opponent’s bravery and nuking them with the tomb banshee screams and mortis engine. Where you bravery bombs, you’re going to want to focus fire your tomb banshees on that target and take them out. The Mortis Engine might be able to chip away some damage against them as well but 2d6 – the enemies bravery worth of mortal wounds is nothing to sneeze at. You are going to be committing a lot of resources to where that bravery bomb goes off so make it count. Battleplan:

The set isn’t nearly as useful or important to own as Malign Sorcery, but the recent balance patch has raised their value in the esteem of the community. The new Nighthaunt Battletome came out recently and it’s time to take a dive into it to see how we can build out armies within the various sub-factions. With no solid physical form, Nighthaunt can retreat from combat and then charge in the same turn. They can all also fly, allowing them to move over terrain and models without hindrance. Their movement shenanigans can even begin before the first movement phase thanks to the Vanishing Phantasms rule. This allows you to remove three units from the battlefield at the end of deployment and put them into an ambush reserve, ready to enter play anywhere more than nine inches from all enemy units. They’re all also fast, most of them having a movement speed of eight inches or more. The expansion is also adding an in-depth campaign system that brings artefacts that will “level-up” between games! Plus we’ll be heading to Stygxx to experience a new Realm of Battle with it’s own spells, command abilities, and more special rules – this is going to be a narrative player’s dream come true.
