About this deal

Owing to its important historical and artistic vlaue, this landmark in Hispanic-Muslim architecture was declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1984. Rating: 10/10 Synopsis: After a hijacking attempt damages their decrepit Black Sun 490 freighter, Snake and his boss are desperate for cash.

Meanwhile, back at the palace, King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella have decided that Boston must have been a spy. A boy has lived his whole life trapped within a vast library, older than empires and larger than cities.Rating: 8/10 Synopsis: For thousands of years, elves and non-humans alike had lived freely until humans colonized their land and forced them into hiding and subjugation. The book is a personal journey and one which resonated with me since I had first noticed the Alhambra whilst studying A level Spanish but had not delved into the history or stories of it. It explains in an entertaining way the history of the Alhambra and the Generalife, as well as many other curiosities.

The Alhambra books published by Dosde unveil all the aspects related to this unique architectonic ensemble. His Factory of Light - Tales from my Andalucian Village, was shortlisted for the 2004 Thomas Cook Prize. It's been and remains a kind of emblem of something that Europe has lost (wisdom, decadence, religious insight, high romance – it all depends on the eye of the beholder), and that is why it's been such a potent source of Gothic folklore, though this apparently makes things difficult for the historian. The book begins, as a good travel book should, with an excellent schematic laying out the palace from the entrance (today) at the First Court, through the Court of Machuca, the Court of the Myrtles, to the Gardens and Hall of the Kings, 22 major areas.

Rating: 10/10 Brian Naslund’s Fury of a Demon is the final installment in a fast-paced adventure series perfect for comic book readers and fans of heroic fantasy. Irwin's "The Alhambra" is a wonderful book on its own terms but it is not all things to all readers.Built by a bloody and threatened dynasty of Muslim Spain, it was preserved as a monument to the triumph of Christianity. Hired blades bleed their foes in savage duels, settling everything from petty grievances to the corporate laws that keep their citizens in line.
