It is, ostensibly, portable then, with a rechargeable battery that you have to connect yourself out of the box, shoehorned in where you’d otherwise expect springs for D-class batteries. There are non-functioning chrome button blanks in place of where the DAB/DAB+ info and menu buttons would have been, however they do add a nice touch to the overall style of the radio.
