About this deal

Unlike some online retailers, all of our products come in the original manufacturer packaging and are 100% genuine. But by the time Thursday night rolled around it's fair to say I was ready, my outfit was incredible, my hair perfect, my breath minty fresh, and I had picked the most expensive restaurant I could find in an attempt to impress. I had a job working at the baseball park in Bowling Green— which gave me the freedom that came with my own money, and a segue into the city. I'm glad I took a chance and gave it proper wear because it dries down to a much more affordable version of Amouage Reflection Man.

After spraying this for the first time I was forced to suffer the displeasure of smelling this for the next 10 hours until I went to sleep as no soap could ever be powerful enough to stop this from assaulting my nose. is a name that has stood for stylish everyday fashions and very special, memorable fragrances for more than 40 years. I was floored as I wouldn’t have guessed it was plain old joop that I’d gone through tons of in my prime clubbing years.

I think the pronounced floral and sweet honey notes create a somewhat cloying experience (especially if over applied or worn on hot days). I only have a cheap dupe of it now, I bought it for nostalgia and use it as a room spray, but my ex smelled it one day and asked me to get him one so I did. The spicy freshness of Cardamom is warmed up by a voluptuous blend of roasted Hazelnut, Vanilla and Tonka Bean.

Joop homme is very synthetic like individuel which I think gives it that soapy fabric conditioner vibe, in my opinion Individuel is better for that, and joop Homme is better for being a powdery spicy warm bomb for winter.

Although, it's not listed, there's a very prominent synthetic cherry note, which reminds me of flavoured sweet drops. As someone who is on very low income I can't afford to splash out on my dream patchouli-gourmand Angel by Mugler, but Joop Homme comes shockingly close to it in terms of notes and therefore is a compromise I am more than happy to make. The newer formulation might be worth trying, for anyone (like me) who was repulsed by this scent when it was first released. Last time we had a family gathering I wore this, after having taken a break from it and my sister was interested in what fragrance I was wearing, as she thought it smelt really good. Regarding the performance, this Le Parfum lasts more than 8 hours on my skin, the projection is strong during the first 2 hours, 2 feet+ and after that it will come closer to skin but you will have a quite big scent bubble around you.

Have no idea how this smelled 30 years ago but nowadays its not nearly as sweet and obnoxious as youtube paints it to be. If you had a similar experience still give this current formulation a goo, there is good reason why so many people on here own it and enjoy it.

Still, I have to credit it— even in its reformulation, this is one of my most complimented fragrances of all time. I wouldn't say it's unique, but it definitely stands out from the rest of the designer releases from the last five years or so.
