Scho-ka-kola is the legendary milk chocolate that was introduced at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin.

Together with their employees, the Hildebrand family rebuilt what remained of the buildings and started to produce again. As you throw rocks hard against the wall, you take sips from me, shaped to fit inside your fists as you walk in one direction, around and around. It was introduced at the 1936 Summer Olympics as a performance-enhancing energy "Sport Chocolate" (German Sportschokolade).Ultimately, what I’m working with isn’t only the artefacts themselves, but the stories attached to them.

Currently it is made by a subsidiary in Berlin and available across Germany and distributed in a limited number of foreign countries.

An earlier packaging label read: "4 portions of Scho-Ka-Kola contain about as much caffeine as a strong espresso" (approximately 50 mg). Current containers indicate "6 portions of Scho-Ka-Kola contain about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee". KA has been around since the sixties and is produced by Barr Soft Drinks, famous for Iron-Bru and Tizer. The fruit of the cola tree, grows mainly in West and Central Africa and contains considerably more caffeine than ordinary coffee.
