The plot to demon slayer is impeccable and while the characters have not had the time to develop, I still really enjoyed what Gotouge has created. The crisp black-and-white art is attractive, and the panel layout effectively sets the intense tone and conveys movement.

Tanjiro, the surviving human brother, share an unbreakable bond with his sister, and though it sounded naïve in the context of this story, he will do anything to turn his sister back into a human. This janky and disjointed style of storytelling also gives the book a bizarre comedic feel despite going for a very serious and somber tone. It's an interesting read, I love the art style and I like how it started to pick up the pace right off the bat. As of April 2023, Demon Slayer currently ranks as one of the top 10 bestselling manga series of all time.
