About this deal

Listening to the live version of "Beethoven's Symphony 6" by Carlos Kleiber and the Bavarian State Orchestra gives a great sense of the area and collective instruments feeling rather epic. However, they're thinly padded, that, coupled with the on-ear design makes them feel slightly uncomfortable and tight at first. However, these qualities will vanish the moment bass kicks in mainly because they lack extension which prevents them from having this sort of airiness and presence to them.

The percussion on Grizzly Bear's "All We Ask" stands out because the song was mixed that way, not because the P5 exaggerates the low-end. Charging takes me around 2-3 hours depending on the current of your charger, and it does not feature any sort of quickcharge feature so when u deplete the battery u gotta wait for the full charging time, which is a minor thing especially with 17 hours I only need to charge it once a week, never more (depends on usage tho).A good-looking carrying case with a black, silken finish and a quilted surface houses the headphones, the cables, and a ¼-inch adapter. The same right earcup has micro-usb charging port at the bottom next to power button, a bi-color led, and two mic pinhole vents contributing to an excellent voice pick up. They're the best headphones available when you want a more natural sound, and longer-lasting listening enjoyment. What’s more, the P5s are “Made for iPod,” meaning that they have been certified by Apple to meet compatibility standards required by recent-generation iPods. The P5W has an undeniably more premium look and feel but there is a certain charm to the wooden earcups of the On2.

When you lift a cover, your unboxing experience is rewarded with a "jewelry" display presentation of P5W in its leather, metal, and chrome glory. At top, unwise listening levels, the headphones do not distort on this track, and at moderate, reasonable listening levels, the sense of bass is still palpable and well-defined.

Despite the rock-solid construction, the P5 is only marginally heavier than the Phiatons and Monster Beats Solos – quite a feat considering how much more solid the construction of the P5 feels.

In general, on-ear fitment could be a hit or a miss, and as I mentioned before – don’t expect super isolation. Grado's pair feature an open design with a full sound that actually projects audio outwards as well as towards your ear, and the larger size of the Sennheiser pair offers exceptional low-end and precision. The play/pause button and volume rocker offer gratifying tactility with only a gentle press and they operated without a hitch. However, they won't maintain a stable fit under strenuous conditions like running or intense exercises at the gym.
