Meeting at an earlier time of 8.30pm and going out on patrol by around 9pm till 2am. It has seen an increase in encounters and Faith chats, but we will review it as the warmer weather comes around the corner. This is done to preserve the anonymity of the people in that area, as some postcodes cover a very small area, sometimes a single building. Completely refurbished and reopened in 2012 in what's become the city's cultural hub - the Marlowe Theatre is also located in the vicinity - the building itself is something of a tourist attraction, designed in an attractive Tudor-revival style and constructed in the late 19th century. Today, the mound is something of a landmark for the city, and offers superb views over the surrounding historic homes and sections of the old city walls. The gardens were added later, around 1790, and are a delight to stroll through, especially during springtime when the first blooms appear.

Situated, as its name suggests, at the westernmost point of the old city's boundary, Westgate Towers Museum & Viewpoint is housed in the country's largest surviving medieval gatehouse. Built in 1380 over the old London road, the Westgate was one of seven such structures constructed to defend the key access points into the city. Today Canterbury still welcomes visitors from all four corners of the globe and has, with its many ancient buildings, shops, bars and restaurants, retained both an old world charm and a cosmopolitan vitality. A small and compact city, the centre is closed to traffic during the daytime so that streets and attractions may more easily and safely be accessed by walking trails or from April to October with a guided tour. The three biggest selling songs of the year – which have all since become 90s' classics – were Love Is All Around by Wet Wet Wet, Saturday Night by Whigfield and Stay Another Day by East 17.
