Lidl If you're going out of your way to buy a Galaxy Easter Egg, personally I think it's only justified that you expect the chocolate egg to be made from Galaxy, not the same plain, underwhelming chocolate you get in all other Mars Inc Easter eggs. I was really disappointed because I had high hopes for this egg, and then I realised I'd bought an Easter Egg pretty much identical to the last, give or take the chocolate that comes with it.

It had scrumptious crunchy bits and was ever so moreish. The German retailer also sells dark chocolate and caramel, and white chocolate and raspberry ripple flavoured eggs too. So, I was given the task of buying some of the biggest names on our shelves, giving them a nibble and ranking them. It did feel like it was missing something compared with the Cadbury egg, though. The Colin the Caterpillar Easter egg is perfect for kids. Wrapped in florescent green foil, the large egg was super creamy and smooth. Plus it came with a large bag of white chocolate mini Colin faces.
