About this deal

It also helped soothe inflammation, and my purge-induced pimples always looked slightly better in the morning after using the Cicaplast Baume B5 the previous evening.

Due to its consistency, I found the Cicaplast Gel B5 to slide off my skin, and I don’t think that I’m getting any benefits from it. In fact, my skin feels suffocated under it, even though its consistency is much lighter compared to the Cicaplast Baume B5. Its consistency is a more sophisticated version of Vaseline, Aquaphor, or a silicone-based primer, which could exacerbate skin texture and cause makeup to slide off. I started using the Cicaplast Baume B5 when my skin was experiencing extreme dehydration, dryness, peeling, and irritation due to starting tretinoin. If you are familiar with French Pharmacy Skincare, you’ll know that Shea Butter is a critical emollient in many of their products, especially for barrier repair.Ideal for both men and women, this cream can be used to moisturise and soothe all skin types including very dry skin. I typically use the Cicaplast Baume at the last step of my nighttime skincare routine, so I decided to swap it for the Cicaplast Gel to see how it compares.

So, either you use it as a spot treatment, or you don’t use it at all if it is causing you to break out. Shea Butter and Vitamin E are the two primary ingredients removed from the Cicaplast Gel to make a less emollient product.Cicaplast Spray is not my favourite product, but it’s excellent for instantly soothing irritated skin. I’ve used quite a few products from the brand, and while they might not necessarily be revolutionary, they get the job done. One of my favorite ways to use the Cicaplast Balm B5 is for slugging. With this balm, you can get the hydrating benefits of petroleum jelly without the heaviness and greasiness that come along with it. When my skin feels very dry, I use a thin layer of this as a 10-minute leave-on mask or as an overnight treatment, and a pea-sized amount is enough to cover my entire face and lips. The formula is non-comedogenic (non-pore clogging), so it’s safe for acne-prone skin. This product is also semi-occlusive, allowing the skin to ‘breathe’ while protecting it from water loss. I only used this product a couple of times and combined it with a few different products in my skincare routine to see whether I could make it work by using something else, but I stopped giving it a chance because it just wasn’t doing anything good for my skin. Overall, it is a solid barrier repair product, and if you use it consistently enough, you’ll get about the same results as the Baume.

If you want to wear it in the morning under makeup, I don’t think you’ll have any problems with piling as it instantly absorbs into the skin.NB: I can show you how to never have acne again. If you have acne and want it gone, read this message.
