About this deal

As I’ve already mentioned, they’re not ideal as winter fragrances but throughout the warmer months, you’ll get a lot of use out of them both.

Warm and spicy opening with a strong wood polish smell. Had it on skin for about 45 mins and drydown is different to the opening - definitely a lot more appealing on drydown, creamy and smooth. This is by far the very best of the entire line (and I love the entire line) in my opinion. I get a bunch of the licorice and cinnamon in this fragrance, which gives it an old school vibe. Yet it is fresh and modern enough to not go full-blown powerhouse. It is warm, rich, opulent, lasts forever, and is signature-scent worthy apart from hot, humid weather.

What’s more, it’s excellent value for money, so if you’re looking for an incredibly easy-to-wear luxury cologne for everyday wear, it won’t be beaten. Let me start by saying that I love both Bleu de Chanel and Dior Sauvage. While they are hugely popular and you will notice others wearing them, if you are looking for a signature scent that’s easy to wear, either would be an excellent choice. Price And Value For Money: Dior Sauvage After I spreyed the elixir ,in the first 30 minutes, I smelled and lauged on how this Dior brand smell this off/heavy and get prise from a lot of people. Elixir is very heavy, has way less sugary feel compared to edt. Elixir kinda reminds of tea and burnt lemon included. I think it's manly and original smell, but I know this smell before, I don't know and can't explain. It reminds me of a person dressed up as business man. This pafum would not make sense if you're wearing sporty relax fit clothes. Can be worn day or night, definitely in the fall/winter. However, you must possess a certain level of mystique and confidence to fully wear it. But what would work best for you? I think if you’re someone who wants to own a fragrance that you can use anytime, anywhere, then Bleu de Chanel might be for you. But if like me, you want a perfume with that bit of extra zing, then Sauvage will exceed your expectations. However, I'd argue that there's enough freshness in the drydown for it to be wearable even in the summer, it actually reminds me of a Gillette shaving cream, only way more expensive, it's also very comparable to Initio's Oud For Greatness. I have had this fragrance since September 2022, and I have worn it through four seasons (I live between NYC and Philadelphia). It performs best in cooler/colder weather, but I have worn it on warm days (not yet in July) and it is still beautiful.

Lattafa Asad is so damn close to Sauvage Elixir. So damn close. When you first spray Asad and Elixir they smell almost identical. There’s really not a ton of difference. Asad is a touch sweeter and a little less “fresh” smelling than Elixir. This is very much a middle eastern inspired fragrance, if you like those, then it's a very safe blind buy. It has that warmth and richness but it's thoroughly modern, easily wearable and very high quality. But even if you don't, it's definitely worth trying. Demachy you effing genius. It’s like you went into a higher state of consciousness to access the secrets of the universe, pulling the best of your abilities together, and distilling them into this perfectly crafted beast of a fragrance. Good God is it intoxicating. This is the nectar of the Gods. This is what Unicorns smell like. When the universe was created, it smelled like Sauvage Elixir. Coconut oil: Powered by its emollient-rich properties, coconut oil is an excellent skin hydrator—and perfect for lathering onto your skin after a sloppy shave that has resulted in razor burn. Some studies have shown it also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Its almost a shame to say you like Sauvage EDT nowdays, and i admit i like it even if its not my favourite, but sadly i don't really connect with Elixir. Some of the best Dior Sauvage alternatives need to smell fresh and have a high degree of versatility. There are 4 types of Dior Sauvage perfumes each with distinct traits. Finding something that smells exactly like Sauvage is difficult and not worth it as Dior is the king here. At first spray, i was reminded of Drakkar noir and Polo RL (original). Oh if only could have it stayed like that! Aftershave splashes: Aftershave splash is probably what your dad’s dad (and his dad) used. Think of aftershave splashes as you would a toner. They’re more liquid in consistency than lotions and balms, and often contain astringent, disinfecting properties thanks to ingredients like witch hazel. Though they’re fresh and lightly scented, splashes are typically formulated with alcohol (which can irritate the skin and tighten up the pores), so be wary of using such products if you have dry, sensitive skin. Splashes are best used for those with oily skin, as they’re less likely to contribute to the grease (which lotions and balms may do) and instead tone the skin. Ultimately, if you’re a fan of that tingling sensation, a splash is for you.
