But again, there wasn‘t enough of Daisy and Christian. For example; Daisy can drive! HELLO? Why wasn‘t that mentioned? The first book was so deep and so raw regarding the two of them so this was disappointing. I honestly never would have thought that there‘d be a book in this series I‘d give less than 5 stars… and the book being (supposedly) Daisy and Christian’s is sad to me because I absolutely adore them and I was so looking forward to it. I want to start by saying I have been reading this series since early 2022, and I have recommended it to many people. I liked MP1 and MP2, so it’s disappointing for me to say what I need to about this book. Magnolia aside, I didn‘t want to read about Julian falling in love. I liked this difference between Daisy and Julian regarding their love lives. And I just have to say… a meeting with the most dangerous men of the country in Julians house is unrealistic. Again, this shows that this whole book is based on Magnolia and Julian because what was the point of this scene? Correct, Julian falling in love with Magnolia. Also… I’m over the love triangle. Again, pointless. I’m over the boxset. Didn’t mind them but it’s becoming clear they have no loyalty to anyone but Magnolia. All they do is tear down Christian and to believe that she’s trying to sell it to us as found family is laughable. The really disappointing thing is that I would’ve loved all of this stuff if she wasn’t more and more just using everyone as a pawn to bolster one character. I know she’s a new author, but this ain’t it. Aside for a cult following who are also obsessed with Magnolia I don’t see how this is a recipe for success.

Daisy - Oh Daisy. I don't know what you did to upset this author but you better get on your knees and beg for forgiveness because it is very clear this author is holding a grudge. Imagine being sidlined in a book that has your name on it. Never in my life have I seen an author be this biased against one of THEIR main characters and so blatantly obvious about it. I truly don't understand why she even bothered to give Daisy books because it's very clear her heart isn't in it. I mean all you have to do is look at that ugly cover she gave this book. Both Magnolia Parks books get a hand drawn cover and Daisy gets a badly photoshopped monstrosity. Although the statue is a Julian reference and the water lillies are for magnolia so maybe it's not Daisy's fault? Anyway, some parts of this book felt like a different Daisy than from book 1, especially when it came to the Tiller relationship. My heart absolutely breaks for her and I hate that we never seem to dive as deep into her trauma as we do with other characters. I know Daisy hated therapy, but she needs it. I'm also so mad that people keep making decisions for her, but we will get there. Hands down the most emotional romance book I have ever read and therefore my favourite' (FIVE STARS)

Daisy… She’s just amazing, too. I liked that she made friends with women (Taura and Magnolia) but again, Taura was her first female friend but we got NOTHING about them but Magnolia filled all of Daisy‘s chapters. It feels like Jessa Hastings herself isn’t really interested in Daisy. let's start with jonah and the other side characters because i HAVE to get some things off my chest: When Peter doesn't show for Daphne until she's seventeen, inexplicably full-grown and with no excuse for his tardiness, Daphne doesn't know what to think. Still, she has always been told that Peter Pan is her destiny. It's beyond choice to take his hand and leap into the stars, no matter what comes next. Unfortunately not 5 stars but let‘s rename it to Julian Haites and Magnolia Parks: The Great Undoing.I don't get the people who say that Magnolia and Julian were perfect for each other, I'm sorry didn't you read in The Long Way Home how Magnolia keeps telling Bj that she would break up with Julian the moment he breaks up with Jordan (as she should).
