The Canon RF 85mm f/2 Macro IS STM is smaller, lighter, and much more affordable than many other RF lenses. While it may not carry the Canon “L” stamp, it can do something most other RF lenses can’t: shoot macro images.
But stop down the Lensbaby Velvet 85, and the glow is gradually replaced by a supreme center sharpness. (Although the glow becomes extremely subtle, it never vanishes completely, even at f/16.) The lens' smooth plastic casing may look a little cheap, but it's far easier to rub away any marks or dirt from it than it is from the barrel of Sigma's previous EX 105mm DG Macro lens. The three switches are generously sized, particularly when compared with those on similar macro lenses, while the focus limit switch is particularly useful in that it offers three separate settings, with one helpfully restricting focus to the first 14cm of the range. Sigma 105mm f/1.4 DG HSM Art is a DSLR telephoto prime lens. It’s a lovely lens that works best for portraits, but it’s also quite versatile, but you can use it for other photography types too. The Art label marks that it’s of the highest quality. In addition, the Sigma 105mm f/4 Art is pin-sharp, has stunning bokeh, and fast autofocus. It’s a fantastic lens that’s well worth the money. The minimum focusing distance is a decent 13.7 in (35 cm), and when it comes to image quality, the RF 85mm f/2 is superb (even when shooting wide open). Bokeh is smooth and looks great, and there’s minimal distortion and chromatic aberration.Sigma lenses are popular due to their ease of use, portability and the sharp results which they capture, with a variety of focal widths to choose from. Sigma 28-70mm f/2.8-4 DG HSM is a high-performance wide-angle to medium zoom lens for Canon cameras. The lens fuses aspherical and Super Multi-Layer elements, which enhance image quality and colour correction. The Canon RF 85mm f/2.0 IS STM is described as a macro lens. But it only has a 0.5x max magnification. This still provides a closer view of your subject than most lenses. But, it won’t be able to photograph tiny insects with amazing ease. The Tokina atx-i 100mm f/2.8 FF Macro isn’t as pricey as other options on this list, but don’t let that fool you; it delivers 1:1 magnification with a respectable working distance of 4.5 in (11.5 cm), along with outstanding image quality, excellent ergonomics, and more.
The Sigma 17-70mm Macro is compact and featherlight, and the build quality is impressive given the price point. The lens doesn’t feature a fixed aperture, though. If you like to shoot with a tripod or macro rail, then this shouldn’t be an issue as you can compensate for the smaller aperture by reducing your shutter speed, but f/4 isn’t so great for handholding, especially in lower light. However, Sigma’s image stabilization technology is a big help here, reducing camera shake so you can work at extremely slow shutter speeds without support. So, what makes a lens a macro? To be considered authentic macro lenses, they must have a magnification ratio of at least 1x (1:1). That means the subject you are photographing is, at a minimum, the same size on the camera sensor as it is in real life. If the ratio is greater than 1:1, images will be larger than life, and fine details will be even more visible.

And it only offers manual focusing, which may frustrate beginners. However, the focusing ring is well made and allows for precise adjustments, plus the lens is amazingly sharp, even at f/2.8.
