About this deal

The juice is the prettiest, softest green-- that ever made the scene. The glass bottle is so heavy and tapered for the hand. Yep. It just feels good. Nice ritual. Too little, too late and overall I have to say I plain dislike this fragrance and would never wear it, categorising it as a stinker. it smells like cheap cologne. i would not be surprised if anyone told me it was axe. but hey, axe smells kinda good and masculine, and so does this. I initially added this during the summer months and it was just a "like" for me. In fall, I'm re-evaluating and rotating in some fragrances specifically for fall vibes. Because I lean so hard into Bergamot and citrus notes, it's harder for me to find heavier, fall-like scents I like on my body. I also HATE vanilla and dislike most powdery and ozonic notes on my skin as they dry down. In summary, silvery lavender and silvery woods, ethereal orange blossom with hints of smoke, honey, patchouli and dry white tobacco. The late drydown smells of the white tobacco with a bit of vanilla.

For all of the gentlemen who love and choose Gucci, the woody aromatic Guilty Pour Homme is presented to the market in 2011 as an aromatic companion of popular female edition Gucci Guilty from 2010. I wore Guilty to my middle school graduation and thought it was the most beautiful, elegant, ladylike thing I'd ever smelled. Sadly, smelling it again after many years and having more experience in the world of fragrance, I can still say that this smells lovely but it's nothing particularly unique. Florals with gentle fruit and musk tones are very elegant, but are by no means uncommon. Things were actually worst for women. The whole "Parfum" line, Acenti, Flora, Gucci by Gucci, and so on...

Longevity is about 12 hours but the last 4 will be a pure skin scent. Projection is only decent for a couple hours but I imagine it will bloom more in the heat. The fragrance is dominated by a strong, long lasting "gunpowder" accord that I can only describe as extremely powdery, dry, green, sharp, fresh, slightly sulfurous, smooth, and balanced. This might be the "heliotrope, violet and cypress". I'm guessing the heliotrope + violet is a ton of ionones (alpha ionone anyone?) and some irones and heliotropin, somehow dried to a crisp with other aromachems. The cypress note might be a microdose of some sulfurous aromachem? The Alaskan Cypress Oil I own definitely has sulfurous top notes, so this is appropriate. Anyway, it's a really nice and unique aroma that is linear and lasts. Silage/Projection - 6/10(moderate to soft projection and silage for the first 1 hour, than sits closer to skin for the duration of the scent's evolution)

So the opening is actually very fresh, truly aquatic, fresh a bit salty but with a steady decent into more floral territory. This is that violet leaf, dry ionones sort of tinge but if this was a violet fragrance I expect I would like it. I sampled this without prior knowledge of the notes and I KNEW there was heliotrope in here....I couldn't place the name and kept saying Angelica no...mimosa, no....artemisia no....what is it?? I knew what I meant and seeing it here just validates how prominent it is in this fragrance. If I didn't discover BDC EDP in my journey this would have easily become my Spring office scent. I'm tempted to make this winter office but it doesn't have enough winter season vibes. I have Sauvage EDP for that with the nutmeg. Is it a safe blind buy? No. But it's different than anything I own, and I really enjoy it. It's minimal, light and transparent, but lovely. Definitely polarizing. Try before you buy! Wear it and see how you feel.

Secondly, this scent in final dry down offers a real delicate interpretation of musk and a much brighter Patchouli that fools my nose. I saw it in the notes, I did not detect it. So light. . . must be the leaves.i run my own business so i have no idea about office scents, but this would almost be it i guess. the problem is that its overpowering in a synthetic way. and ive smelt this on people before, and it never really fit them. its too soapy and constantly gives me the axe wibe, or way too much scented fabric softener.

It then becomes a little sharp, with notes of pine/juniper. All the aromas remain spiky and aromatic. I never saw the commercial for this fragrance, I guess because I almost never watch TV. So, the whole story about heavy marketing for this fragrance didn't have any influence on me. This actually smells nice and … light? airy??.. I remember my first thought was “ Guilty? How exactly?!” I needed a bit of time to make sense of it, to put it in a category but I just couldn’t…Wow, so what to say about this one? Well, I do love it, not just a like for me. The issue is, I like it because of what it intended on doing. Which is old world Italian clean charm. What does that mean.. Well, my grandfather used to wear certain fragrances that had a very medicinal minty fresh vibe, like a "gin & tonic", which makes sense with the Juniper berries, bergamot, mandarin and cypress found here. So, as I'm wearing it, I get that mental image of my grandfather dressed up conducting business and just being a commanding presence. I'm not really sure the vanilla and patchouli-heavy dry down really complements the overall gentle floral tone. I think it could've been more subtle and tender. I also think the scent is a little different from the image that the bottle and the campaign are trying to show. This is more grown up, or at least more formal than advertised. It could also just be a regular daytime scent, if you wanted.
