About this deal

When the girls escape from a boring afternoon with Grandma into the teahouse gardens, they find a door in a giant tree trunk and enter the magical Kingdom of Yaroslav. When you gain control of your characters again, sail down to Hiker’s Rest. It’s a little island on the map that you may have explored earlier in the game. Either way, this is where we want to go. Imogen is devastated when she finds out that her sister is kidnapped and she and Miro chase after them, in hot pursuit and makes new friends on the way.

With the Acolytes defeated, there’s a bigger problem afoot. The Dweller of Strife has awoken. Proceed into the next room, save and rest up. It’s highly advisable here to cook up as many dishes that replenish lots of HP and MP together. Bouillabaisse is a personal favourite, as is Mooncradle Fish Pie. When you’re ready, head out into the next area on the right. On the next level will be a choice of two areas. Proceed north of the elevator and step on one of the two buttons, it doesn’t matter which one. We stood on the right one first because we’ve been doing left first all the way through this walkthrough so let’s live a little and shake things up! Ironically, this is actually the correct room we need to go in, believe it or not. Right Room Chris Riddell's illustrations, as always, breathes life, they really captured the book's whimsical vibe. I adored the little character portraits at the start. This is not a story for the faint-hearted! There are some rather gruesome details. The monsters like to “slice and dice” their victims. Prejudice and bigotry are demonstrated by some characters. I found the cruelty to animals confronting. The story and characters create many points for discussion which will make this a useful book in classrooms, libraries and at home. Reader notes or teaching notes would be useful. In addition, the Earth’s daily rotation around its axis makes it seem like that the stars close to the celestial poles revolve around the pole once each day. Because of this, constellations and stars close to the celestial poles, such as the Big Dipper, can be used to estimate time during the night. The North Star The characters themselves were wonderful, and I felt so attached to them all by the end! (Especially Prince Miro, Imogen and Marie!- saying goodbye was bitter-sweet)

The plot has a good dose of adventure and magic, friendships and sibling relationships, whilst also dealing with loss, sacrifice and death (with a few gruesome bits but it made the story more substantial). There were some real morals to the story without being too heavy for young readers. I have been enjoying children’s fiction recently and this book was definitely an easy read and a fun one. It’s illustrated by Chris Riddell for starters and his work is always wonderfully fun and creative and brings the characters and plot to life. This book had some great characters and panels for illustrations, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing his interpretations. Because neither the celestial poles nor the direction of the Earth’s rotation axis change, any stars and constellations close to one of the celestial poles will be observable from some latitudes throughout the year all day long. In the next room will be some enemies. Take these out and you’ll notice three levers, some platforms and a cog. Essentially we want to level everything out so all the platforms are at the same height. Here’s the solution: Garl, remembering the prophecy given to him by the Oracle of Tides, will ask for a Flask of Borrowed Time. This will allow him to continue – but only for a limited period of time.To account for Daylight Saving Time (DST), add 1 hour to the calculation in the months that DST is in place at your location. And then, with just a little bit of imagination and math you can do what explorers, adventurers, and astronomers have been doing for centuries – tell time using the stars! Northern Hemisphere Stars And when danger threatens the kingdom and the crew are getting ready to save it, you start biting your nails. I watched their friendship grow and loved it. What I loved the most was watching Imogen get closer to her little sister Marie. That special sister bond was beautiful! Francesca Gibbons’s writing is so captivating, the world building phenomenal and the action suspenseful.

Imogen should be nice to her little sister Marie. She should be nice to her mum's boyfriend too. And she certainly shouldn't follow a strange silver moth through a door in a tree. But then... who does what they're told? Ja, wie soll ich anfangen. Mich hat das Buch sehr überrascht! Warum? Sorry no! Imogen loves adventures. But her little sister finds Marie always disturbs her and is such a burden. One day, Imogen sees a shadow moth in the garden and starts to follow it. Then her sister finds her, and closes the gate behind them.

On the third floor, there’s not a whole lot to see but the Watchmaker is up here, along with a Wheels table. We can’t challenge him unless you’ve defeated other Wheels players, so ignore that for now. More importantly, the Watchmaker will hand over the Master Key. Just like that, with no fuss. What a bonus! From here, return to Cael. Miro is a young prince and they find refuge in his castle. His land is ruled by his uncle, King Drakomor, who is in charge until the young prince comes of age and becomes king. Drakomor is a foolish man, obsessed with possessions and gathering treasures in the castle. He falls in love with an evil woman who wants to be queen.

I went into this book not having read the first but as an experienced reader, I caught on to what I had missed and I would like to say that Francesca Gibbons is an incredible writer. This book is absolutely mind-blowing.Just as in it's description, this book is indeed best for fans of Narnia for this too has a secret magical door that takes this adorable duo of sisters Imogen and Marie to a land that garners more surprises (and dangers) than they could fathom. The North Star, sometimes also called the Lodestar or Guiding Star, belongs to the constellation Ursa Minor. The North Star is the brightest star closest to the geographical and celestial North Pole. Because of this, it is visible from the Northern Hemisphere throughout the year. To a northern observer, the North Star appears motionless in the sky, with other stars in the sky revolving around it. It is this unique property of the pole star that makes it very helpful to navigators and for those who use the stars to tell time. Not a Constellation, but an Asterism Climb up the wall, across the platforms and use your grappling hook to unscrew the cog. Miro is the prince in the world they come to and he becomes a more major character as time goes. I enjoyed seeing him but I do think he and the sisters are a little simple at times, likely because it’s aimed at children, and they come across a little two dimensional at moments. I would have liked a little more thought and depth on them, but I did like their blossoming friendships.
