Product Information

Boil 1 litre of fresh tap water. Allow boiled water to cool for no more than 30 minutes. Measure the required amount of water (see feeding guide) into a sterilised bottle, carefully - the water is hot. Do not use artificially softened or repeatedly boiled water. We use medicines to make our children better, but sometimes they have other effects that we don’t want (side-effects). This table is a guide only; your baby may need more or less than the volumes stated. If you require more advice, consult your healthcare professional. Remember to feed your baby on demand. Mix 1 scoop of powder to 30 ml (approx. 1 fl. oz.) of water. Open the sachet just before use. Your doctor will tell you how much of the powder to use; this will also be shown on the medicine label. Whilst this product is made under strict hygienic conditions, it is not sterile. Failure to follow instructions on preparation and storage may make your baby ill.

SMA Staydown contains: Skimmed Milk Powder, Vegetable Oils, Lactose, Gelatinised Maize Starch, Emulsifier (Soya Lecithin), L-Cysteine, Vitamin C, Sodium Citrate, Inositol, Calcium Hydroxide, Taurine, Potassium Bicarbonate, Choline Chloride, Ferrous Sulphate, Magnesium Chloride, Zinc Sulphate, Cytidine-5'-Monophosphate, Vitamin E, Disodium Uridine-5'-Monophosphate, Niacin, Adenosine-5'-Monophosphate, Pantothenic Acid, Disodium Guanosine-5'-Monophosphate, Disodium Inosine-5'-Monophosphate, Vitamin A, Copper Sulphate, Thiamin, Vitamin B6, Riboflavin, Vitamin D, Manganese Sulphate, Folic Acid, Vitamin K, Potassium Iodide, Sodium Selenate, Biotin, Vitamin B12 For bottle-fed babies you can add the right amount of powder into the formula feed in the bottle. I tried it first then went to docs and mine gave it on perscription if they ask how much you use say one a week and if you use more you have less to buy my doc gave me four at a time but you are only supposed to be on it for 6 mths now my lo is 9mth old and on a follow on milk and w are not having any problems she keeping it down mainly i used avent with the three different speed teats on level three. hi my lo was on this she had really bad reflux would bring up nearly a whole bottle switched to this after hv advice as previously had gaviscon and found that to be annoying and sometimes would forget to put it in.

Sma + Carobel = least worst combo that I have found (after trying 3 different formulae). Apart from the odd runny yellow poo that is.Sorry for the rant but it really was laughable to see the state of my sink and expect little sam to be able to drink that! For breast-fed babies, mix the right amount of powder with 5 mL of cooled boiled water to make a smooth paste, then mix in another 10 mL of water. Give this to your baby after the feed, using a syringe or spoon.

Never give it to anyone else, even if their condition appears to be the same, as this could do harm.
