About this deal

Once the Orbeez have grown to their full size, it’s time to drain the excess water. You can do this by pouring the water out of the container or by using a strainer to separate them from the water. Zinc sulfide is the most common phosphorescent compound used in glow in the dark toys. You have probably seen it used before in glow in the dark stars. But don’t soak them for too long, as overgrown beads get excessively fluffy, brittle, and prone to damage faster. Overgrown beads are not good to use with any Orbeez guns either, as they need beads of specific sizes.

Orbeez Glow-In-The-Dark Water Beads, 1 set - Playpolis UK

It’s important to drain the water completely, as excess water can cause the Orbeez to damage if they are left soaking in it for too long. You can gently press them with a paper towel or cloth to remove any excess water if necessary. Once you’ve drained the excess water, you can use the jelly beads. Overall, the Glow In The Dark Orbeez and Orbeez guns are a fantastic way to add excitement and fun to any playtime experience. Whether you’re indoors or outdoors, these products are sure to provide hours of entertainment and sensory exploration. The upside of zinc sulfide is that it is very cheap. The downside is that it doesn’t glow for very long and it’s not that bright.

Even with non toxic ink, it’s also important to make sure your kids wash their hands after playing. I remember the first time I discovered Orbeez. I was so fascinated by the way they magically grew and changed colors when they absorbed water. I couldn’t wait to try it out for myself, but I had a lot of questions. One of the biggest was whether or not I could use tap water to grow them. This makes a fun learning experience for your kids. Not only can you teach how osmosis works (from growing the beads) but also how fluorescence works. You’ll be introducing a number of great scientific words to their vocabulary too – ultraviolet, transparent, quinine and so on. What About Phosphorescent Orbeez? Unfortunately, it’s not easy to make water beads glow in the dark with a phosphorescent material like zinc sulfide or strontium aluminate. These compounds don’t mix well with water and they are beyond our DIY level! What are Orbeez Water Beads? ASMR Video Questions & Answers about Orbeez Glow-In-The-Dark Water Beads

The Gel Strike Glow Tracer Unit fully charges the Glow In The Dark Gel Balls with a beam of blue UV light every time the Rapid Blaster is fired!!! The Glow Tracer Unit lets you see Glowing steams of Gel Balls fly though the night sky or low lit environment. You will no longer need to shine a bright light on the Glow In The Dark Gel Balls before use with the Tracer Unit attached to the blaster. Once you have your highlighter ready, you’ll need to carefully break it open to retrieve the sponge from the inside (this is what contains the ink). There are different types of Orbeez available, including classic, glow-in-the-dark, and scented. The classic ones are the standard version that comes in a wide range of colors. SENSORY TOYS: Experience satisfying tactile stimulations that will calm the mind, soothe the senses and develop fine motor skills! Orbeez are great stress balls, fidget toys and learning toys! Then cut the sponge open and mix the ink in a container of water. You don’t need much ink but you can’t go wrong by using more than you need. So, make sure to squeeze all the ink out. You can use a second highlighter if you plan on making a lot of glow in the dark water beads.

It’s important to not overdo it as the Orbeez will expand to several times their original size once you add water. It’s always better to start with a smaller amount, and add more if needed. Now you can grow your orbeez in the water until they have expanded to their full size. As with tonic water, they wont grow as large as they would in pure water, so make sure to leave them for at least 4 hours to get as large as possible. Then drain the excess fluid (or keep it for now just in case you need more water beads later on). To grow Orbeez, the first thing you’ll need is a container to hold them and water. You can use any container, but it should be big enough to hold the amount of dry beads you want to grow. A clear container is ideal as it allows you to see them as they expand and grow. Strontium aluminate is a newer and less common compound. It’s more expensive but it glows up to ten times brighter and longer than zinc sulfide. The Glow In The Dark Orbeez are made from a non-toxic, biodegradable polymer material that is safe for kids to play with. To activate the glow effect, simply expose the Orbeez to bright light for a few minutes before turning off the lights to watch them come to life.
